02/28/2022 - CCBA hosted a appreciation event and presented "Community Heroes" awards to 41 individuals and organizations, to thank for their donations and contributions to New York City Chinatown during the pandemic.
02/28/2022 - Grace Lee, who is running for New York State Assembly 65th District for the Chinatown area, visited CCBA and President Justin Yu.
02/28/2022 - Danny Salas, who is running for New York State Assembly 65th District for the Chinatown area, visited CCBA and President Justin Yu.
02/25/2022 - President Justin Yu chaired his last CCBA board meeting. Before the meeting, he received proclamations from New York City Council and State Senator Brian Kavanagh.
02/25/2022 - On behalf of Mayor Eric Adams, Advisors Winnie Greco and Patrick Kwan presented a proclamation to President Justin Yu that proclaims Friday Feb 25th 2022 in the city of New York as "Justin Yu Day", to recognize his outstanding services to the City during his term as CCBA President in the last 2 years.
02/19/2022 - President Justin Yu attended a memorial ceremony in Brooklyn for the victims who were killed in Asian Hate Crime cases.  The community leaders protested against Asian Hate Crime and the plans to open additional homeless shelters in the Chinese-American neighborhoods.
02/16/2022 - The 2022 Community Board application is open through Tuesday, March 1. Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine visited CCBA and encourage the community to apply and express their voices in community board meetings.
02/15/2022 - Mayor Eric Adams invited community leaders to attend a Lunar New Year breakfast reception at Gracie Mansion.  He reiterated his commitment to fight against crime and improve safety in New York City.  President Justin Yu and Raymond Tsang expressed their concerns on the needs from Chinatown.  They asked the Mayor to improve safety and continue to negotiate with the State officials to reverse bail reform laws.
02/14/2022 - The murder of Christina Yuna Lee by a homeless man in her Chinatown home caused angers in the community. CCBA and many community organizations held a vigil to remember Ms. Lee and denounced the government's policies on homeless shelters. The group went to Asian American For Equality to request a discussion on the homeless shelter issues.
02/13/2022 - Chinatown resident Christina Yuna Lee was fatally stabbed by a stranger who followed her from the street into her home.  President Justin Yu, elected officials and community leaders gathered near the crime scene and express concerns to Chinatown safety and the increasing homeless shelters in the neighborhood
02/09/2022 - CCBA donated "Red Envelopes" ($200 each) to the selected senior centers around the City.
02/01/2022 - CCBA hosted the annual Lunar New Year ceremony. Many government officials visited CCBA and greeted Chinese-Americans for the lunar new year, including Ambassador James Lee, Mayor Eric Adams, City Comptroller Brad Lander, City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, Director of New York State Operations Kathryn Garcia, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg, State Senator Brian Kavanaghz, City Council Members Christopher Marte, Carlina Rivera, Sandra Ung, Erik Bottcher, Judge Doris Ling-Cohan, Judge Randall Eng, Mayor's Office Community Affairs Unit Commissioner Fred Kreizman, NYPD Fifth Precinct Commanding Officer Deputy Inspector Paul Zangrilli, representatives from elected officials and many community leaders.
