President Justin Yu attended a memorial ceremony in Brooklyn
for the victims who were killed in Asian Hate Crime cases.
The community leaders protested against Asian Hate Crime and
the plans to open additional homeless shelters in the
Chinese-American neighborhoods. |

Mayor Eric Adams invited community leaders to attend a Lunar
New Year breakfast reception at Gracie Mansion. He
reiterated his commitment to fight against crime and improve
safety in New York City. President Justin Yu and
Raymond Tsang expressed their concerns on the needs from
Chinatown. They asked the Mayor to improve safety and
continue to negotiate with the State officials to reverse
bail reform laws. |

The murder of Christina Yuna Lee by a homeless man in her Chinatown home caused angers in the community. CCBA and many community organizations held a vigil to remember Ms. Lee and denounced the government's policies on homeless shelters. The group went to Asian American For Equality to request a discussion on the homeless shelter issues. |
