09/29/2008 - CCBA hosted a lunch reception to congratulate Mayor's Office of Community Affairs Unit Commissioner Nazli Parvizi, Sandra Ung, Grace Meng, Jim Quent and Daniel Squadron for being selected as "Rising Stars: 40 Under 40" in the City Hall News.

09/28/2008 - CCBA and other educational organizations hosted the third annual traditional Confucius Memorial Ceremony. President Justin Yu was the principal presentation officer of the ceremony.
09/26/2008 - CCBA and Asian American Community Consultation Association hosted a seminar at the CCBA meeting room, presented by historian Warran Shaw, to introduce the development of the "Five Points" and American culture in the Chinatown area during the early 19th century.
09/26/2008 - President Justin Yu and Ambassador Kenneth K.M. Liao presented the flags to CCBA former president Eric Ng, which authorized him to represent CCBA to celebrate the Double Ten Day in Taiwan.
09/24/2008 - The Committee for the Confucius Memorial Ceremony hosted a press conference at the CCBA meeting room, to release the detail information of the ceremony, that will be host on September 28 in Chinatown.
09/22/2008 - President Justin Yu was invited to attend the ground breaking ceremony of the Gouverneur Healthcare Services' modernization project.
09/19/2008 - The NNORC Program of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York held a Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration at the CCBA auditorium for the elderly.
09/19/2008 - CCBA ended the Sichuan Earthquake Relief Program and presented all donations to the American Red Cross.  During the presentation, Mrs. Mok donated $50,000 to the Fund and made the total amount of CCBA relief effort exceed $1,320,000.
09/19/2008 -  American Red Cross International Disaster Response Field Operations Officer Travis Betz held a seminar at CCBA, to describe and share his experience assisting the victims after the Sichuan earthquake on May 12.
09/17/2008 - New York State Governor David Paterson's assistant George Hu and other staffs from the Governor's Office visited CCBA, and brought the Governor's message to ask for the community's assistance to help the victims in Haiti.
09/16/2008 - Representative from Association of World Asian Loving Youths in Canada visited CCBA.
09/15/2008 - Regina Garcia Littlejohn, a litigation attorney from California, visited CCBA.
09/10/2008 - President Justin Yu and other CCBA representatives attended the 123rd Anniversary Fundraising Dinner of the Gouverneur Healthcare Services. CCBA donated $12,000 to the hospital this year.
09/09/2008 - President Justin Yu and Lin Sing Association Vice President Sheung Ying Ng went to Gouverneur Hospital to visit Former President Ping Kee Chan, greeted him a happy Mid-Autumn Festival and wished him healthy
09/08/2008 - President Justin Yu and other CCBA board members visited a few senior centers with large amount of Chinese population in the 5 boroughs, to express greeting to them for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
09/03/2008 - After a 2 months summer break, the police-community conference resumed at CCBA. The police-community conference will be held at 2pm on the first Wednesday every month, at the CCBA meeting room.
