01/31/2014 - CCBA hosted the annual Lunar New Year ceremony. Many important government officials visited CCBA and greeted the Chinese-Americans a happy new year, including New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Senator Daniel Squadron, City Comptroller Scott Stringer, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, Councilwoman Margaret Chin, NYPD Chief of Community Affairs Thomas Chan, judges, representatives from elected officials and many community leaders.
01/30/2014 - At the last day of the lunar new year, New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, State Senator Daniel Squadron, State Assemblyman Ron Kim, State Assemblyman Félix Ortiz and many community leaders held a press conference at CCBA, urging the State legislatives to pass the resolutions to recognize lunar new year as a public holiday in New York City public schools.
01/28/2014 - President Paul Ng chaired his last CCBA board meeting. All the board members took a group picture after the meeting.
01/27/2014 - CCBA staff took an annual group picture to greet everyone a happy new year.

01/13/2014 - CCBA donated "Red Pocket" money ($200 each) to the senior centers around the City.

 

01/11/2014 - Ambassador Paul Wen-Liang Chang, the new general director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, officially visited CCBA for the first time. CCBA and the board of directors held a banquet to welcome him in the evening.

01/10/2014 - Mr. Eric Ng was once again elected the 63rd President of CCBA.  Inauguration ceremony will be held on March 1.

 

01/01/2014 - CCBA hosted the annual New Year and Republic of China government establishment celebration.
