attend the online full broad meeting of Community Board 2
that discussed the proposed homeless shelter at 231 Grand
Street. Before the meeting, CCBA and the community
protested against the City's plan
in front of the building. |

- Wonton Food Company donated another $50,000 to CCBA's Fortune Graduation Fund, to encourage students from New York Chinese School to complete their Chinese language education. |

- President Raymond Tsang joined a virtual meeting hosted by
Marcos Solers, Deputy Secretary for Public Safety from the Governor's office, to discuss the
Governor's suggested changes to the bail reform. After
the meeting, CCBA wrote to Governor Hochul to support her
suggested plans and hope her plans can reduce crime rate and
increase public safety in New York State. |

community leaders on a rally to protest against the planned
jail in Chinatown. Approximately 2000 people attended
the protest. |

- GuiYing Ma, a Chinese woman who was being hit on head with rock by a homeless man in Queens during Thanksgiving, passed away recently. Newly inaugurated CCBA President Raymond Tsang and Advisor Justin Yu attended a memorial ceremony in Chinatown, and urged the City to communicate with the community, resolve homeless violence issues and stop opening additional homeless shelters in the Chinese-American neighborhoods. |
