05/29/2009 - Peter Koo, a candidate running for City Council for the Flushing area, visited CCBA.

05/27/2009 - Deputy Director Jorge Mendizabal, Neighborhood Advisory Board Liaison Unit of New York City Department of Youth and Neighborhood Development held a press conference at CCBA, to announce a workshop about fundraising at CCBA on June 3rd.
05/27/2009 - Members from Chinese Freemasons held a press conference at CCBA, to announce hosting summer events in Chinatown.
05/26/2009 - Community leaders welcomed Deputy Minister Jen Hong of Oversea Chinese Affairs Commissioner of Republic of China to CCBA.
05/23/2009 - The Lions Club International in Flushing held a press conference at CCBA, and asked residents to donate old / unused glasses to the needed people.
05/20/2009 - Mrs. Lai Wah Fung of New York Downtown Hospital donated $10,000 to a scholarship program of New York Chinese School.
05/19/2009 - The Ro Han Mem Taiwanese Cultural Troupe of Shih Chien University Kaohsiung Campus presented excellent performance at the CCBA Asian Heritage Month Celebration.
05/19/2009 - CCBA hosted the third Asian Heritage Month Celebration at the auditorium, and presented Distinguished Service Award to American Red Cross of Greater New York, Lolita Jackson, Alice Wong, Daysi Mejia, Linda Jones-Janneh, Jasper Li, Katie Wong and Stephanie Wong.
