11/29/2018 - The City withdrew the proposal to build a new jail at 80 Centre Street in Chinatown, but they changed the plan to expand the current Manhattan Detention Center on 125 White Street.  State Assembly Member Yuh-Line Niou held a meeting at CCBA to discuss the new plan with the community.
