勿街5號為伍氏的伍胥山公所，照片中可以看見該大樓懸掛「伍」字旗幟及48顆星美國國旗

此外，勿街7號懸掛著中華民國最初的中華民國五色國旗

中華公所記錄記載，1927年時中華公所有懸旗之爭，憲政黨人主張仍懸五色旗，
